An Introduction to Mahid
Also called The Ashlord, Wrathforger, and The Great Flame, followers of Dul-Rothak believe he forged the world as a home and fortress for himself, and that he commands all fire. Further, they believe that he lives far beneath the Ashen Sea, where he fights Aborus with pure, unfathomable heat as his weapon. They posit that the volcanoes there are the result of minuscule cracks in his inner keep, which occasionally allow a tiny fraction of his strongest flames to emerge as eruptions into the world at large.
Key to the faith of Dul-Rothak is the sentiment that while creation is sacred, defending it is more so; that none who are unable to defend their property are worthy to hold it. This resonates greatly with Grakkori culture, where he has many followers, but inferring an exact code of behavior from this simple dictum can be difficult. Some Dul-Rothak worshipers take it as complete justification for all out barbarism, and proceed to take as they please. At the other extreme, some refuse to even use anything they did not produce with their own hands. As many variations as can be imagined exist between these and arguing their merits is a time honored tradition of the Dul-Rothaki faith.
4e players may treat Dul-Rothak as having the domains Creation, Protection, and Skill.
